I have a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica AWD. I heard a noise when I hit a pot hole and did not know why i kept hearing a noise on the passenger side. I drove it for a day not trying to hit any more pot holes. I checked the car today and I have a dent on my hood coming from the inside. I opened the hood and right where the tire is there is a bar thats lifted and its hitting the bottom of hood. What is that and how much am I looking at to give the repir man.

the only "bar" that i can think of in that general area would be the shock strut rod. you would have to hit a pothole really hard to cause that to break the strut mount and contact the hood.

 

Check the sub frame ( part of frame that goes under the motor) they are known for rust problems. If this is the case call 888-327-4236 The repair would be 4r 5 thousand dollars.
