engine mount confustion

engine mount confustion
Okay, I understand everything on timing belt removal, except forone thing. service manual says remove upper engine mount, which i guess is the front mount in the book. this one does
require to remove the radiator fan assy. the left mount says remove it (rad fan assy). The haynes manual for this engine on the 300 says to also remove the rad. fan assy. is this necessary.
