Default Front End Noise and Steering Wheel Shaking

I HAVE A 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA THAT WAS WRECKED ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE. IT WAS DRIVING FINE UNTIL I TOOK IT TO GET IT REPAIRED, AND NOW WHEN I AM DRIVING THERE IS A NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDETHAT SOUNDS LIKE I AM DRIVING ON A BUMPY ROAD AND THE STEERING WHEEL SHAKES. WHAT COULD THIS BE? THE BODY SHOP SAID THEY DID A FRONT ALIGNMENT ON THE CAR WHEN THEY REPAIRED IT COULD THEY HAVE MESSED SOMETHING UP?

Are your tires "out of round"?

Just a thought

Have you tried balancing your tires? Steering wheel wiggle is usually a symptom of an unbalanced tire(s).

As for the noise, try checking for loose bolts on the wheel well cover (plastic cover under the fender).

Our '06 had worn tie rods that made the steering wheel shake. It didn't make noise unless drove over bumps/cracks in the road. It was more of a rattle than a bump sound though. Also with the car started and in park we could turn the steering wheel back and fourth and here it clicking. Anyways, not sure if this would be what is causing you problem but it's easy enough to check by turning your steering wheel back and fourth.

If you can feel it in the brake pedal and steering wheel you need to have your rotors turned. Find a shop with a PRO CUT machine (on car brake lathe). If you go to an auto part store and have them turned you might get 10k and the problem will return.
Had that same issue twice, then spoke with a chry machanic, he said to do this, so I did and problem resolved.
Hope this helps.
