Integrated Power Module

Integrated Power Module
I’ve been having a no crank problem with my 2007 Pacifica ! Had new key and immobilizer programmed ! Have linking error on DLC ! Checked grounds ! All lights , door locks etc work ! The gear selector display all have squares around them on dash ! Most peplies I have got say it’s a pci/can problem because security light stays on . Today I centered my attention inside the TPIM checking the Trans relay . I found #86 post where that relay plugs in is supposed to be a ground BL/OR . It has no ground at #86 terminal but the BL/OR wire at the C7!gray 10 way connector to the tipm is grounded ! Is it possible to separate the integrated power module to have a look ? Would this lack of a ground at the trans relay cause a bus problem or the selector squares ? Thanks

Hi Brent . I have a 2008 Pacifica 4.0L Limited. I have owned for 5 years. It had been dead reliable for the 100k miles I have driven it (it now has 170k). 2 months ago I would get intermittent shutdowns of the engine (local roads, highway you name it - scary). This was getting worse over the course of a few weeks. Finally it would not start at all (engine immobilizer message on dash). Had AAA out and battery and all checked out fine. Had local Chrysler dealing fix it. It was wiring ground problem (corroded wires somewhere underneath battery tray). Cost me $1000 (mostly labor to figure out where problem was) to fix. Running great once again. The only real money I have put into the car other than normal tires and maintenance.
