Navigation upgrade?
I am the proud owner of a 2008 Pacifica Limited with Nav and I want to know of it is possible for me to upgrade the Nav system to a later version. Current version is AE. Would I be able to simply purchase something like version AH and install?

I've wondered the same thing, with the same issues on my 2007. Unfortunately, these in-car navigation systems/maps are far inferior to live GPS navigation that even the most basic smart phone now has for free. Last time I did run across a Chrysler update (several years ago, maybe 2010) it was well over $100 which I was not willing to pay for a few road updates.

Yeah I bought one on EBay one time. I think it was maybe E just as G was released. It was cheaper that way. Nice system in the Pacifica, but yeah tough to justify when your phone is much more capable.

I bought one update a few years ago because I had two Chryslers to which it applied. I checked the Navteq website, the latest version is AL and it is still $149 + $3.95 shipping. I looked back on my posts here, and the AL version was available TWO YEARS ago.
With the capabilities on today's cell phones or a freestanding GPS, you'd think that Chrysler or Navteq would realize that they'd need to drop the price of the DVD to maybe $30.00 for it to be competitive. How many suckers could they find to pay that ridiculous price, especially for an update that's already two years old?
