Default Now What????

I wrote in a week or so ago regarding a Check Engine Light with a PO440 Code. I've replaced everything from the gas cap, Fuel Pump/ Level Unit (P/N 5101805AC) Fuel Pump Retailer Kit (P/N 5139088AA), as well as the EGR valve, and the check engine light is still on.

This morning I go to start the car, and every warning light on the dash lights up...emergency brake light, ABS light, Airbag light and more. You name it, it lit up. Radio/sound system will not power up. HVAC system will not turn on. Power windows will not work. I checked the battery to make sure the terminals were clean and tight. They are spotless and tight.

My Chrysler dealer is telling me that I now need a system "grounding module" at a cost of $650+. Does this make sense? Could this "grounding module" have anything to do with the check engine light that won't go off?

Grounding Module...WTH ??

Are you sure they didn't say "Integrated Power Module"?

Look in the fuse box under the hood. Check Fuse #3 , Fuse #50 and find the relay labeled "Run Relay" and swap it with a known good one. The PO440 may be unrelated.

Now the dealer is telling me that the problem is the "integrated power module" and is telling me the parts alone are $1000 plus labor. Also that it will take "5 to 6 days" to get the part from Chrysler. Does this sound right, or am I being taken to the cleaners?
