Default pacifica brake lights not working

I have a strange problem with a little of Murhpy's Law thrown in for good measure. I replaced the pads on the front of my 2004 Pacifica. Afterwards, my wife put the car in reverse and started to back up without having pumped pressure back into the brake pedal (that's another story). When she wasn't able to stop, the left rear tire hit the corner of a low planter in our driveway and punctured the tire. I put the spare on and she was able to drive, but now the brake lights on the sides don't work. The center light in the hatch works, but not the two side lights. The lampswork fine otherwise (when the headlights or turn indicators are on), so I know it's not the bulbs (which I doubt would have gone out simultaneously in any event). I also believe the lights worked fine previously.

I have tried to check the fuse box, but can't tell which fuse controls the brake lamps. So, if anyone knows which fuse could be suspect, I'd appreciate the info. Also, if the problem were not a fuse, what are the other possibilities?

Thanks for any help.
