Default Pcm replacement on 2004 pacifica

Has anyone replace their PCM on a their Pac? I've read it's pretty easy, unplug the battery, take off the old one, put on the new one and give it a few miles to recalibrate. Anyone have any experience? I'm trying to save $800 by not going to the dealership.
