Default right front door PLEASE HELP

ok my alarm keeps going off after i set it. i sat in the car and waited to see what was going on and what i found out was that soon after my alarm was set the lights in the car came on and in the message window flashed right front door ajar. how is this possible when the door is shut and locked. i am sure that is some electrical mess. any suggestions?

Its probably the door ajar switch. If the switch is bad its not sending the correct signal to say the door is shut. Its located either on the a pillar side of the doo frame or the b pillar. Its a small tear drop like switch that has a push in pin on the end. maybe about 7 to 20 bucks tops most likey the lower end
