turn ignition key to start bam dead no power

My first post so bear with me.

Just bought a 06 pacifica.

Today at break i go to start it and it started fine at lunch i turned key and bam lost all power..
I read something about a grounding wire.. im stuck untill i can get it started

all fixed I had found the connectors to the battery terminals damaged. replaced them and
all well - crosses fingers
