I have a broken key in the cylinder of a 2007 Base. The key reader and clock spring have been removed and from what I understand, the tab is on the top back of the cylinder case. I have pressed, poked, prodded, and cannot find the tab. Can someone supply a photo of exactly where it is located and what type of tool needs to be used? Thank you

 

is the broken key in the on position? if not you will need to have it rotated to the on position or the key cylinder will not come out. as for the tab get your new key cylinder and you can see exactly what tab it is and where its located.

 

The tab you are looking for is usually located at the top of the cylinder, towards the back of the housing, as you mentioned.
