Wondering if anyone made any rough or precise calculation as to how much it cost to own the PT Cruiser?

I bought mine less than a year old in 2007. Last year (2012) I hit 100,000 km mark. I keep track of all expenses, so it was not hard to add all the costs up. So initial cost of the car and all the maintenance and repairs totalled to $28,272.98, or $487 per month. That excludes gas and insurance.

Or it is 28 cents per kilometre.

For those leaving in Imperial part of the world, 100,000 km is about 62,000 miles.
