Default $5 plastic trim piece gonna cost me $400?

I have a 2005 Town and Country Touring (5R429799). The power side mirrors (same configuration 01-05 for T&C and Grand Caravan) have a 2" plastic plug on the underside covering the wiring harness. You can't hardly remove the critter without breaking tabs on it.

2 dealers and the worthless Chrysler home office say I have to order an entire mirror ($200!) to get a part that should be about $3. I need 2 of them. Any thoughts on where to find these? I've tried junk yards (too new or you have to luck out to find a shattered mirror to cannibalize). Any aftermarket makers or someone who can clone an existing one?

Numbers off the back side of the thing are
CAV4
ASA
710842AA
MMS
REV3

This is pretty irritatingly dumb.

try this, it's worth calling or looking at the web siteto check price & avaialabilty of mirror assembly and to see if comes with plastic piece you are looking for.

Certifit.com they sell all kind of body parts it's porbaly not the exact same as factory but i really could not much ofa diff in the mirror assembly . it fit and worked perfectly. call & see if that part comes with thier mirrors B4 ordering however

my local store is in MN 651-628-4098 900 berwood ave Vadnais hts MN THeysell only body parts no engine stuff

My power mirror on my Chrylser cirrus was a lot of $ i don't recall How much & I was able to find it thru these guysfor 35.00 brand new and it was in stock.

I have a junk yard by me that you can take off most anytong on most any carif it's on the car that is, the entire mirror or justa clip, they probably would not charge for the clip at this particular junk yard .
happy hunting.

If you still have the covers, I would just glue them in place with a contact cement. Rarely does something ever go wrong with mirrors that access in this area is required. So even if you got some broken ones, and glued them in place, you are ahead. Something is better than nothing.
