Does anyone know how to get cheap power out of the 2.4 non turbo i know the usuall cold air in take exhaust short throw shifter but i am looking for the low down dirty secrets here.

From what i've read on other forums you are out of luck. No way to get cheap power. The cheapest would be to put a turbo on it.

that aint cheap trust me i know a guy that comes into my work it would be cheaper to buy another car and trade this one in

There is no performance mods worth a dime for a non turbo Cruiser, yours best bet trade in for the turbo. That motor is specifically built for high end power and there are tons of parts available.
