Sometimes, the Cruise Control does not kick off when tapping the brake pedal. Is this an indication of the brake light switch going out? I also am having some issues with the Air Bag light coming on intermittantly, so is it possible that the Clock Spring has anything to do with the Cruise Control problem?

 

Those systems are obviously both combined in the clockspring but I dont think clockspring would affect cruise control disengaging with brake pedal. Might test your brake switch for proper operation. Clocksprings are notorious for failure and will lead to air bag light coming on. Mine did. Good luck
