14 T&C rear suspension issues
I am new to the forum and wanted to check out the brains on this forum.
I have a 2014 T&C van with the X91 suspension which I guess is the Touring and self leveling rear suspension. When I took over the car early this year I started in with general maintenance and noticed the rear shocks had rusted through. Little did I know until later that these were the Nivomat(sp) shocks and part of the self leveling suspension. I installed a new set of KYB Excel G shocks and it was a terrible ride. Decided to go the coil spring route and installed a new set of HD General springs which helped a bit but the floaty/bouncy feeling is still there. I spoke with both Monroe and general spring about this and they both had no recommendations. Monroe does have a replacement kit which has the coil springs and a set of shocks. I kinda think I just did that though. I was wondering if the shocks themselves might just be bad? My question to you is has anyone gone through this conversion and used a different rear setup that they are pretty happy with? The weight capacity with the general springs is pretty good and I got some lift out of the rear (about 1.75"). I am looking to get a firmer more stable ride out of the rear.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
