hi
I ran out of petrol the other day so i got someone to bring me some in a jerry can
but i cant get the engine started again
ive put £15 in the tank since it happened and it still wont start

has anyone had this problem before and knows how to fix it?
please tell me

 

If you ran out of fuel in the tank and you ran the van till it quit running, you destroyed the fuel pump in the tank.
The fuel pumps will not tolerate running dry.
You can give the bottom of the tank a whack with a rubber mallet to see if you can get the pump to work to get it home or to the shop.
Replace fuel pump with a new one.
