ive had this car for 6years or so and for the last couple of years i have had this cutting out problem which happens randomly- sometimes 3-4 times a day driving 10-20miles sometimes never on a 100mile journey- it can happen at 5mph or 85 mph -everything cuts out and i can usually turn the key whilst moving and it starts again-but the power steering goes and it can be frightening - many things have been investigated and it never shows any errors on any code readers- can anyone help? thank you

 

diesel pump, it will be the fuel quantity actuator on top of the pump not cheap around 300 quid for that and around 500-600 to have the pump reworked with new actuator

 

thank you - yes this has been taken off the car before and cleaned out and it seemed like the problem had been solved but it started again so it must be that- thanks for reply
