Default 2.5 CRD 2002 clutch issue

Hi guys

My clutch is slipping on my 2.5 CRD. I noticed a couple of weeks back that the biting point had moved right to the top pedal level and now it's started slipping.
Is it possible to repair the clutch ? Really could do without the expensive of a new one at the moment and I really need it to get me through a busy few weeks.
Any suggestions would be great, cheers.

Never heard of an actuator sticking. Looks like its a new clutch. Get engine rear oil seal replaced as well.

That's what I feared, I can get a clutch cheap enough but I dread to think what the labor is going to cost me

Goggs : Your right it sound like a new clutch and new rear seal.

a pro. Chrysler mecanic can change it in 2,5 - 3 hours + 30 min. to the seal.

What ever you do just dont buy your clutch from ebay..i bought clutch kit for £86 and its worse than my old one was. Old one just was noise but new starting get noise and sometimes it starts to vibrate badly,,so i must press clutch again to get it sit more centre. Centre hole is too big for transmission shaft. Clutch has been on car only 4 months.

When clutch getting old pedal is getting had and leaver can bend or brake. I have seen it a few times after a clutch change , Gear change getting difficult and the talk is mabye a bad transmision but no it's just a bend leaver.

Don't forget to lube the ball the leaver is hanging on.

Manny OEM shops is messing with hydraulic system when thay see this problem , uhh just remember UK version got a cable right.

Clutch is hydraulic ,not with cable. Fork was bit worn but seemed fine. It was cheap clutch and not any bigger brand. If good clutch disc only costs over 100 then i got all kit for 86. Yeah,,next time investing little more old clutch made rattle noise because these springs in disc was very loose..but never vibrated,,but new one is horrible.

Last time I did a clutch work , I had the fly wheel machined just to be sure it was straight.

Clutch in car was the orignal (sachs) and the new one also 200£ had it change on warrenty.

But after 50000km it started vibrate again. and now i can hear springs rattle in the hub.

Manny times then gear change start to be difficult and shops put in a nut in front of slave cylinder (between slave cyl. and leaver ) to make more travel. But only for a short while , the hyraulic in power full and the leaver will bend or brake. It the clutch springs ( fingers) get stiff over time and fail and make the pedal hard.

And if springs in the hub brakes the hub get wrap and start to shake/vibrate.

3 out of 4 times the flywheel is ok when change the chutch.

My guess and experince.
