everything looked the same, and yes the module I pulled looks like a heat sinc, guess I will call the dealer tomorrow and get one and try that, any idea how much they run? .... actually you already told me what it might cost, thanks for all the help, I have owned a chrysler or dodge for many years and always appreciate the help you guys give out, thank you very much. part number should be 5179985AA about 60.00 or so + tax if your buddy got that one from a junkyard they might have the module as well worth a shot but remember dealer usually will not allow returns on electrical parts though

Ace,

I'll get my VIN No. tonight for you. As far as I know, both blowers experienced this problem @ the same time. The air & heat both work, both blowers will not work on their individual 1st. 3 blower settings. Pretty weird huh? Thanks for your time.

just wanted to update this topic, I replaced my blower motor module tonight, took a whole 2 minutes and it fixed the problem, according to the dealer I went to who gave me a great price, this one I just received is the 4th preceeded part, and it looks like it will be a lot more effective, the first- original looked like a heat sink, the new one looks like a bunch of small straws sticking out, thanks for all the help and good luck to those who run into this probleml List price was $53.45.

Greetings Everyone,

I am new to the forum and stumbled upon it from havinga similarissue with the wife's Voyager. A few months ago, her blower started acting up; it would work, not work, work, etc. The details of vehicle follow:

2001 Chrysler Voyager LX
VIN: 1C8GJ45301B142651

I used a multimeter to test the blower relays in the engine compartment but they seem to be OK unless I tested them incorrectly. Recently, the blower has stopped altogether. The functions of the AC/Heat work because if we turn either on and drive down the highway, we get heat or air via forced air.

I removed the console but hell, I could not get the connectors removed behind the faceplate to be sure they were snug, apparently they are. Any help is appreciated, I hope that I explained the case enough but feel free to pick my brain for more detail. I could especially use some advice on how to test the Blower Motor Resistor and/or the Blower Motor Module. I actually ahd a Module go on a Buick 2 years ago and the situation was simialr but a friend did the electrical testing.

Thanks in advance.

Joel
