Default 2001 GRAND VOYAGER REV COUNTER PROBLEM

I have a 2001 Grand voyager which has developed a recent fault. When I accelerate in 3rd, 4th or 5th gear (manual transmission) and the rev counter reaches 2k then it suddenly leaps up to 3k and then drops back down again. the engine rev's with the counter but the car does not pull too. This doesn't happen every day but is getting more frequent. Mechanics tell me the clutch is fine!!!! Can anyone reccomend anything?? Thanks

unplug you brain, the computer, and brush the the tips of the connections off with some electronics cleaner... give that a whirl, if that doesn't work, post back about it and I'll help you troubleshoot. We used to have one of those fu*kers... I hated it with a flaming passion

if the engine revs up while the vehicle is moving and it doesn't speed up the clutch is slipping under load, time for a replacement. I was wondering, how do you get a 5 speed manual in a minivan anyways?
