The tailgate on my 2001 Voyager only opens using the key.
Does anyone know if this is likely to be the central solenoid or are there any known issues or easy fixes before I end up breaking stuff trying to get it apart to find the fault.

As you have had no reply twice, try the search function. Use the "Search this Forum" facility (white letters on black ground top right hand side of the Chrysler Voyager & Town & Country forum window - not the read and white search function at the top of the page which will search all model forums).

I did a forum search on tailgate and got over 50 postings some of which look relevant to your query. I think it is a common enought fault, so the answer will lie in the forum history somewhere.
