Default 2002 2.5CRD Voyager citting out whilst idling

Hi guys. Had the car for nearly two years now and tried at random points to fix this problem but still to no avail.
The car has its days when it wont do it as much, it will just bounce off the bottom of the revs and jump up. Recently though its every time the car idles and i dip the clutch, its gettng embarassing at lights and junctions as well as dangerous.
Anybody else experienced this at all? Would love to hear some ideas for fixes.

Sorry just noticed the tittle, *cutting out

Cheers guys

Hi, it cuts out when hot or cold. As soon as the clutch is dipled, 99/100 it will completely cut out

any fault codes? search up "key dance" on here

when you say it cuts out with the clutch dipped, do you mean only with the clutch pedal down or if it's stationary and in neutral with the clutch up will it cut out?

Regards
Richard

Hi sorry i should have been clear. It cuts out whilst in neutral as well.Everytime it has been hooked up to disgnostics machine it shows no fault.
EGR valve has been changed, so has the fuel filter and housing. The crank sensor has been sugested but its not been changed as yet.

hmmm...pretty rare for it to cut out and not log a fault, any idea what scan tool was used?

oscilloscope to diagnose cam and crank sensors, but again a fault should have been logged.

I don't know mate, it's been in several garages all checked with diagnostics of some sort.
Looks like cam/crank sensor maybe next to try ?

Try wiggling the harness around the engine especially crank and cam sensor wires while engine is idling and see what happens, if engine flutters etc.

Sorry for being a little slow but whereabouts would the harness's be within the engine?
