2002 t & c sliding door lock
hi i have a question for anybody to awnser, i have a 2002 t & c and the passenger sliding door lock does not lock when i press the fob, the lock button inside the car or if i try to push the lock button down it still wont go down and lock. its an EL model and the drivers side sliding door is manual. so pretty much the drivers side sliding door is unlocked at all times. im trying to find out if it is just an actuator i need to buy and replace. if some one could shed a lil light on my problem i would def appreciate it. this is my family car. thank you for helping.

So when I replace the latch, that will allow me to push the lock button down on the door then. Do you have an estimate on parts. When I order the part is it just called door latch drivers side? Thx so much for your info.

Take your VIN number to the dealership. That will give the counterman any option codes he needs, and a part number.....
I know I'll catch hell here but......Aftermarket latches are not always direct fit. As I said , your vin will provide any of the option codes that are necessary to get you the right one.
Ordering online has shown to be more of a headache than a Discount.

We're having a similar problem, can you advise if the above is the case for us also...?
We have a 2004 Grand Voyager, with elec doors, but tonight the passenger rear door will not lock or unlock with the central locking, nor will the electric opening overide the locked position. We can lock/unlock manually though.
Is this something our mechanically minded family member can replace or not, due to the elec doors etc...
Thanks
