Default 2005 Chrysler Town and Country - Rear Hatch Piston Problem

Hello all,

Another issue I seem to be having is; in the cold months, the pistons can't seem to keep the hatch open and it just falls down. Should I just purchase new ones?

Thanks,
grimlok

Simple answer her is Yes. Or secondhand if tested. Look back about a week or two as this was a thread on here.

Hey Grimlock, I just replaced mine for about $20....did the trick just fine. Easy to do and took about half hour. Find someone or something to keep the hatch all the way up, change the struts and your good to go.
Goodluck
