I have a 2005 town and country with power door locks, no power doors. our rear hatch used to lock and unlock and be able to push on rear handle to open. now all doos but rear hatch will lock and lock and I can only open rear hatch with key in hatch, turn and lift. handle not responing. any ideas? Hi Marianne, my 05 just did this, but my dealer fixed it on my extended warranty. I just looked for the receipt but I could not find it. I think they replaced the rear latch mechanism. We hahd to use the key too.

Sounds similar to the problem I hade with my 2001 Voyager - the internals of the release switch had corroded. Replaced mine with a button from Maplins (about £5 for a decent one) with a 2200 ohm resistor in series.

Found the receipt, they replaced button and latch mechanism. I can get you the P/Ns if you wish.. mine's an 05 limited.

 

mrfixit, that would be great, mine is a limited too. it has leather, dvd etc. a friend said it needed a 20$ actuator that can be bought at a car parts store?
