2005 T&C rear brake grind
2005 T&C van
When baking out of the drive way and appling brakes there is a grinding noise. It seems to be coming from the rear.
We took it into the dealer for a brake check/replacement.
They replaced the front pads and refinished the rotors.
we still have the grinding noise.
Rear brakes are disk.
Should I check it my self and i know to look at pads and rotor but should I ckeck anything else or is this normal for 35k miles.

RE: 2005 T&C rear brake grind
check the rear pads ASAP, maybe you can save the rotors. but that depends on the damage (becouse of the grinding noise, there must be some).
pay attention to the inner pads, becouse they ususally wear less then the outside ones, and rotors are in worse condittion on that side.
some moving parts of the brakes should be greased with special grease, but don't do that unless you really know what are you doing and how.
brake pad wear depends on the driving habbits and condition of the brakes.
how come that dealer didn't check rear brakes? did you tell them to?
