So the other day the car would not start, low power, dash needles going around in circles So I replaced the battery with a used battery, trickle charged to fill and 12.5v, issue remains there are alot of clicking/hissing noises coming from the IpM, sometimes everything just goes dead when trying to start. Pull the starter relay and it doesn't try to start but everything doesn't die. Starter is less than a year old. However if I plug in a jump start battery it runs for a few seconds then dies. I'm hoping it's just the ipm and I can grab one from a junkyard?

 

So starts with jump starter, momentarily, but not with engine battery. Need to get decent engine battery first.

 

Turns out it was the battery terminals, got a terminal brush, cleaned the battery terminals on the battery and took apart the terminals on the wires, problem solved!
