2006 T&C sticky gas peddle
I have a 2006 T&C I have had it for about 6 months. It had 26000 miles now has 33000. I have noticed now sometimes the gas peddle has a slight stick to it when you first push down it is not there all the time. At my work we have a 2003 T&C and have noticed the same problem . The dealer says not much can be done. Has any one else had this trouble and what was done to fix it...Thanks
you need to have the TB cleaned or replaced.it binding.try popping the gas pedal cable off the side of the TB ,see if the pedal glides freely.if it does then the throttle body is the problem.moe
Thanks for the info. I talked to the dealer today he said he didn’t think there was much they could do. Said there is nothing to lubricate. is there a TSB for this? one thing I did notice on the throttle cable were it splits in 2 and goes to the TB one cable has a little more slack then the other one. Could this be part of the problem? I have 3k more miles on the factory warranty and a 7/70 maximum care warranty after that I think they should fix it before it gets worse....
That slack is normal, but the binding is a real safety issue.i would tell the dealer that your engine was racing until you popped the cable off the side of the TB.and your afraid to drive it.throttle bodies are not cheap.ive seen this before.good luck moe
