Default 2007 Cabin Filter Town and Country Touring

I just bought a 2007 Chrysler Town and Country Touring 3.8L and I wish to change the cabin filter. I have read many posts that it is under the dash on the passenger side. Slide a bracket and it opens....change the filter and you are done. Well, there is nothing there to slide. Do some Town and Countries come without a cabin filter? I check the owners manual and see nothing. I would appreciate any help. Thanks so much.
