I am looking forward to install a roof rack on our 2009 TC.
I would like it to be permanent rail rack setup bolted to the roof like the OEM. I was hoping to find one at a pull yard but its hard to come by. New ones are kinda pricey for 2 rails and crossbars and in that value I was wondering if there are any non OEM setups - or even from another car/maker thats easier to find on a pull yard like older Subaru - that maybe have more options/accessories or maybe some clever design allowing for some additional flexibility in configurations. I would need it mainly for expanding cargo space on longer road trips (either a rigid ski box kind of container or some roof rack bag kind) and maybe transporting a canoe or a river raft on other occasions - that would mean the longer the rack rails could be the better and maybe with double the crossbars number.

Any recommendations/experience?
