Have you got yours set to recirculate the air inside of the car or is it set to draw air in from outside?

Did someone wire in a new connector to the fan? Sure sounds like the polarity was reversed on the 2 wire connector IF that was the case. You are correct that it should draw air from outside into the engine bay thru the grill.

I called 2 Chrysler garages got 2 different answers of witch way flow should be and no the pug was never cut the fan was wired wrong I just switched direction and seems to be working fine now but thanks for your help just in case anyone else installs a new fan it it suppose to take from outside into engine compartment just like I thought but when I called first Chrysler garage and they told me outward so it had me baffled for a while.
