I have a 2011 Town & Country with a driver side sliding door that stopped opening. On top of this, the car beeps like the door is open and the door ajar light is on even though it is fully closed. There is also an electrical burning smell. The indy mechanic I brought it to basically told me to sell the car, but it seemed like he just didn't want to work on it because he said to take it to a body shop. So here are my questions:

1. Can I turn off the damn beeping somehow?
2. How can I get this door unstuck?
3. Can I just bypass all the electronic opening stuff on the sliding door to get around this?
4. Has anyone had this happen?
