Default 2011 Town and Country damaged key error

We have a 2011 Town and Country that is having issues with the push button start and the automatic door unlocks. We had the window regulator replaced on the driver's side door and since then we the automatic door locks and the push button start refuse to work and will give a damaged key error message, even with our back up FOB. The remote start function still works, the lock/unlock buttons on the fob work fine and if we pull out the push button and insert the FOB the van starts and runs fine. Any idea what would cause this to happen, the battery in the fob was replace just about 4 months ago. any ideas would be appreciated, Thanks.

Hi jdwchrysler--did your Chrysler dealership perform the regulator replacement? If so, have you alerted them to the new concern you're having?

I found this forum through a google search because I'm having the exact same issue with my 2011 T&C after I replaced the window regulator and motor! I disconnected the negative battery terminal throughout the repair, did you do the same?

ChryslerCares....I performed the work myself, so there is no Chrysler dealer to inform. Any idea why this happened?

Hi xaviernusum,

I'm sorry, I don't know. I rely on the dealership service team for their technical expertise. We also aren't able to provide repair advice to customers, unfortunately, so all I'm able to recommend at this time is to have a certified Chrysler tech look over your repair.

I don't know if this is your issue as well, but (stupid me) forgot to plug in one blue connector in the door panel. That fixed all of my issues! My push button and everything else worked good as new! I'll try to attach pics of the connector.
