Default 2014 T&C snow and ice handling

I am very frustrated. I have a 2014 T&C with 9,000 miles on it. It came with Yokohama tires. It drives horrible in the snow. Specifically taking off and breaking. I drive in constant fear of running a stop sign or running into the driver in front of me because I never know how it will react! I also own a 2007 dodge caravan that drives beautiful in the snow! Just wondering if anyone else has had issues with the newer models in winter weather driving!

I have an older 2002 model, it was fantastic in the snow and ice but I put it down to tyres I have, Had brand new Goodyear EfficientGrip SUV 215/65 R16 H fitted only in October but certainly the best tyres I have had for grip. I have had Yokohama tyres before but on a small car and didn't rate them much to be honest.

My experience says steer clear of far eastern tyres; american or european are best.
Incidentally, my 2.8CRD GV. has so much bottom-end torque, I can spin the front wheels THROUGH AN AUTO-BOX!

My money would be on your tires. Although most people know Yokohama for their high end performance tires, they also produce a wide range of mid range budget tires such as the S drive. Although these are okay for day to day summer use. They simply suck in snowy and icy conditions.

I also would suggest to invest in a set of winter tyres.
You can always put the Yokohama's back under the car when the weather gets better.
