Angry 3.3 no run

My 2000 Town and Country will not run. It cranks but does not start. No sign of fuel or ignition. Suspecting a camshaft or crankshaft sensor, I atttached an ODBII scanner. It shows nothing, but amazingly the car starts and runs as long as the scanner is in place. Checked all harness connections and paths for damages, nothing.

Odd. I would suspect some kind of data bus problem since the scanner is using the bus to read your codes. 3rd generation vans are plagued by the instrument cluster cracked solder joint issue. May be the culprit. Smack the dash above the cluster next time it doesn't start.

Default 3.3 resolution

After remaking all of the ground points on the front end of the vehicle, the engine ran. I highly suspected the 10 ga black wire that attaches to the negative battery cable clamp, which does supply the ground for the PCM or cleaning both ground pins on the PCM. Either way, problem solved.
