I have a '96 LXI 3.8L that has started exhibiting a slight hesitation in shifting between all gears. My wife says that it is almost as though the tranny fluid is low. (note: it has a stripped pan bolt that needs replacing, but I monitor the fluid level constantly, refilling as needed.)
Question is this - taking into account the note above - could the minor leak between the pan and case have allowed contaminents into the pan thereby clogging the filter, or could there be something more serious occuring.
