Default 96 town and country

We are having a problem with our 96 t&c. It has a 3.8 v6 and front wheel drive we are having tranny problems we had it rebuilt recently and is still not operating correctly the transmission place told us that the tranny computer wasn't corresponding with the main computer, they put a new tranny computer in it. Ok it shifts when it wants to sometimes it will shift out fine and other times it will only shift to second or I guess it would be third since its an overdrive and the speedometer will go crazy bouncing around and drop to about 20 when you are doing 65 the cruise control stopped working since we have been having these problems also. What could be the problem?

Default RE: 96 town and country

well it sounds funny to me but i know the input and output speed sensors have been known to cause some problems about 20.00 dollars each.
usually when the tranny goes its gone
the dif pin shoots through the case at least thats what happened to mine.
as far as the computers going bad it sounds kinda funny but if they did a diag test then ok if not you might want to take it to a dealer the will fix it right (a bit more money but worth it)
