Default Air conditioning don`t stops

Hi: I have a 2001 T&C limited and the air conditioning dont turn off even when push the turn off button from the control panel. I`ve disconected the battery and the problem continues. The problem started when I turned on the defroster Saturday morning and changed to cold air; when I tried to turn it off, the system didnt respond.
Thanks for your help...

The only thing controlling the ON/OFF function is the control head itself. Time for a new one.
