Alarm going off, but stops went battery disconnected (Voy 3.3 2001+)
Dear Folks,
I hope you can help me out.
My Alarm on my Chrysler Voyager 3.3Ltd 2001 keeps going off…even when the car is running!
The alarm went off at 11pm, and I reset the car diagnostics, and the alaram still went off. I left the car unlocked, this made no difference.
I have disconnected the battery and the alarm has stopped!
My friendly car chap – said it sounds like the battery on the alarm has died, as the alarm should continue to sound even went the main battery is disconnected.
Do you folks have any ideas?
Currently, the battery has been disconnected for 48 hours and car not used – the alarm has not gone off.
I have just found out that following the MOT the engineer allowed the main battery to go flat due to a light being left on.
Any ideas?
Regards
ANDREW

Update - It's like driving a police car!
Dear Folks,
I still have not got this problem sorted.
I had to drive the car last night and every two minutes the alarm would go off for about 20 seconds - it was like driving a police car :-)
Seriuosly, I have taken the siren unit out (behind Left Headlamp) - is this unit serviceable?
Regards
