just note the cold mark is not cold cold like -20deg.C. it's stat in a manual some where that you drive a few miles and check the level and it schould be by the cold mark(warm) and after +30 min. drive I would guess it's on the Hot mark. My old 3.8 GS'er reach the Hot mark after 25 min drive.

The 2.8CRD got a larger trany cooler and might need more time to reach Hot mark. and also contain more oil compare to the old models even that the trany is the same except small diffrents internal.

sometimes you need to check the level more then one time to get a true reading.

Did you try leave the battery diconectet for an hour or so , The TCM will start a new behavior depending how you drive , it's not a complet reset like if the trany has been rebuilt. But it change the chamber filling times ,if you drive nice it will change gear smooth.

many time I leave the car on the lift after oil change , start it up and in gear and let it run up and down .Then I can also check to oil leaks . TCM will learn and you don't burn the clutch plate . The new oil the thick and aditives is to good compare to the old used ATF oil this will afflect the gear change time. So its all way a good thing to drive very nice the first time after oil change and let the TCM learn how to change gear with new oil.

Its a 41TE automatic on a 2007 year. "Fuzzy" logic is adaptive and learns the driver's habits so any different one of the millions of drivers anywhere in the world is either :

- gentle = gentle economic
- heavy footed = aggressive uneconomic

and programs the computer with that 'drivers style'

Yes this system started in 1996 and it is the same system until 2007.

I just want to let every body know what if you change the trany oil and just drive of with a heavy foot you might fry the clutch plates and it with in 1 - 2 miles.

Good workshop practics is to let the TCM adapt the new oil / shift time. before leave it to the customer.
