Autobox Slipping

Question

Bit of an update. I changed both the input and output transmission sensors. Still does the same thing. Slips loads when cold and gets a little better after a while.

I also bought a fault reader and get this error code.


P0733 Gear 3 Incorrect Ratio

When I reset the code the car will slip and not shift from 2nd to 3rd. After a while it must realise it can't shift gear and then limits me to 2nd and the fault code comes back.

Am I correct in thinking the last thing I can try is a TCM, Transmission Control Module?

Can't say for sure,but.....My bet is on worn out clutch packs inside the trans....sorry!
Only way to know for sure is to have a trans shop hook up pressure gages and test.
