Default automatic headlights 2005 Town & Country

When I turn on the auto headlight switch the lights always come on and stay onregardless of the light conditions outside. This used to work properly. Does the sensor get dirty and not work? Where is the sensor? Thanks much. John

On our '02 ES the sensor is in the back of the rearview mirror. Same one as used for the auto-dim mirror feature.
