Batyre on north queen street will charge your battery for £1, also my car was losing power for a few days but it's cured itself now

Mine has had the issue for a good while now. Keeps draining batteries (tried new battery). Think I need a new ignition barrel as the string or something is broken in it as there is no resistance or spring back when I turn the key

Have you verified that its not the radio drawing power off the battery.

I replaced the radio as the old one wouldn't put out any sound. Have had the problem before I changed the radio. Would a faulty ignition barrel cause a battery drain as it seems the spring inside the barrel is broken

sorry just moved house had no internet , seems very like ignition barrel/switch you should not hear any bleep when you remove your key unless it is at the auxiliary position , i'll get a look for you if you can wait till this coming weekend

That would be brilliant. The ignition barrel has no resistance when I turn the key. To start the engine I have to turn the key all the way round to the right but the abs and handbrake light stays on. I then have to turn the key slightly to the left and the radio comes on, computer comes on and the abs and handbrake light goes off.
