Default Blinking Lights on DVD player in 2005 T&C

Just bought a used 2005 T&C Touring that has the DVD entertainment system. The lights blink on the console--first 3 on one side and then 3 on the other. What does that mean? I am afraid to put a disk in and the remote that came with it won't stop them. It drives us nuts as they blink constantly back and forth when the van is running. I am assuming this means the unit is broken but how do we get the danged blinking to stop?

I had the same problem with my previous Voyager, a 2004. The problem started after having a new battery fitted by Halfords. I actually had some CD's loaded in the machine but I couldn't eject them. I couldn't find a cure so ended up unplugging the connections at the back of the unit just to stop the LED's from flashing.

Hmm, I have a 2005 T&C with the Tape-CD top unit and below the Heater-A/C control sis a 6 disc DVD changer, Is that what you are referring to is the 6 disc DVD changer?
I have not seen it do the blinking as you state but do know it blinks one light when say ejecting or I believe playing and possibly loading but will look at my Owners manual and the Service manual I have and see if I can find out something to help you with that issue.

I found a section called Audio/Video in the service manual so hopefully it has some info that may help you

Sorry I did not see anything in either manual about the symptoms you describe.
Hopefully someone else on here will have the answers you need

The symptoms described by slf817 indicate a fault with the 6 CD/DVD Autochanger, that's why you wont find mention of it in the owners handbook.

See this thread https://www.chryslerforum.com/forum/...r-fault-14053/
