I would suggest cleaning the wire leads from the blower motor to blower module and reconnecting. I had similar issues with my 2001 T&C and it was a bad ground connection from the blower motor. Now I have an unused new blower motor.

FIXED - the blower motor had a failing bearing/bushing causing the fan to rotate less freely, which (i am only guessing) caused it to draw more power than normal shorting the blower control module. When I removed the old blower motor and spun it with my hand it was noticeably "stiffer" than the new one. I replaced the blower motor and blower control module at same time and all is well with the world!

What has been learned by this is that the blower motor can be supplied with power, and work and STILL be faulty.

Thanks to all responders to this thread

is that not what I said was the issue ? If u keep replacing the resistors the motor motor is drawing to many amps.

That, indeed is what you said and you were correct. However, I feel I had good reason to believe that the blower motor was working properly based on diagnostic, troubleshooting advice and suggestions that were offered previously in this and other threads. Unfortunately, the lack of a response to my post requesting further clarification and advice (#29) left me with no alternative other than replacing the blower and hoping.

thanks to all who provided help

There is no diagnostics for a blower motor in that situation Its an experience thing if a motor gets to hot it will start to slow down and draw more amps then it is use to thus blower out a resistor or fuse how ever its power is supplied.

We have been racking our brains on this. We replaced (May) resistor and blew the fuse, replaced fuse and now (August) exact problem back again. Front fans do not blow air but AC is working/blowing in back. Relays not bad, motor works when jumped, another new resistor, new fuse - but we will check that motor out further. Thanks for sharing; crossing fingers...
