Default A/c issue

The vehicle in question is a 2003 t&c lx 3.8 fwd. I was able to use the ac last year and a few days this year one day it just stopped working so I went to Walmart and got a can with the sealant and tried to fill the Freon. It worked for about 30 seconds then I heard a hissing noise coming from the hose connection that bolts to the ac drier I think it’s called? My question is can I just replace the seals with the kit from rockauto or should I replace the drier as well? It seems the seal just may be bad but I’ve only ever done an a/c on a different vehicle. Any advice or information is greatly appreciated.
