Default chrysler T&C (2001) power steering

I lost power steering in my van, it was making a loud noise from the steering column. I noticed I was low on fluid so I added some. The noise went away but my steering is very tight, and I am losing fluid underneath.

What are the possible problems and $$ to fix?

Thanks in advance.

I also drove it 3-4 miles that way. Don't know if I could have done further damage...

just added 32 oz of power steering fluid with stop leak additive. I checked underneath the car and fluid was draining onto garage floor significantly.

Help?? Is it as simple as a fixing the leak? Is the pump not functioning (when I turn engine on, fluid level went down significantly) ? What are symptons of rack issues?

I fill up resevoir and when I turn on the ignition, the fluid then drains out under the car...any thoughts?

i am sure there are multiple areas where the leak can be present, however can we rule out rack or pump issues?

I guess if the pump is cracked, the leak could be there...but it seems that the leak is somewhere else

thanks. Not able to find the source yet. But just wondering if the problem could be worse than a simple leak...
