Check whether it is a cable actuated clutch or an hydraulic one. If cable then oiling of the cable may be required. If hydraulic check that the assist spring on the pedal hasn't come off or broken and also check for any interference at both the pedal and clutch fork.

if its hydraulic was either the slave or master cylinder changed? My toyota did that and it was miss matched master and slave. you need a 1:1 ratio in bore size. so if your master is a 3/4 inch bore then your slave needs to me a 3/4 inch bore. when I did the V8 swap in my LandCruiser I had to mix and match parts to get a slave that would work with the Toyota master.
