Does anyone know where to find the engine number on a Chrysler Voyager 1999 model?

My mechanic won't write a road-worthy certificate until he visualises it and they can't find it.

I'm in Australia if that makes things different.

Desperate here, been without my car for nearly a week now and going crazy!

Could you please let know the location where I can find the Engine Number of Chrysler Voyager SE 1997 3.3L. The vehicle registration here in Australia need to visualize the said number embedded to the engine block. Thanks for your help
